Andy Chih developed a passion for Chinese cuisine at a very young age. Growing up and working at his parent's Chinese restaurant, he became the third generation chef in his family to specialize in Sichuan and Northern styles of Chinese cooking. Since then he has furthered his studies in culinary arts at the Culinary Institute of America in St. Helena, California and is also a UC Davis alumni in the department of Food Science. Outside of collaborating with the Confucius Institute to share his knowledge and recipes, he is also a research chef and food technologist at Culinary Farms, a local supplier and manufacturer of spices and dried ingredients.
